Hey Lads and Ladies,
My name is Charlie Smith and I will be your Student Union Deputy President during your time as a fresher! Welcome to Marjon! Zak Liddell is your MSU President and together we aim to make your first year at Marjon the best it possibly can be. Here at the Student Union, our role is to help you with any concerns, questions or troubles you may be having as well as to ensure that your first experience of Marjon life is incredible, so basically our job is to make sure YOU have a good time.
So a little bit about me...I have been a Marjon student for the past three years, studying Coach and Physical Education. In my second year I was the MSU’s Sports Officer and in my third year I was a Senior Resident Student and the Women’s Hockey First Team captain, my advice to you is get involved with as much as you can!

Both Zak and I have been busy this summer planning your freshers fortnight (yes, here at Marjon we party for 2 weeks...because we can!) and we hope you will be looking forward to it as much as us! When you arrive you will instantly get to feel the Marjon family vibe, something that makes Marjon so welcoming. Being such a small institution enables you to make friends easily and pick out familiar faces, and I hope to get to know as many of you as possible during the first couple of weeks!
Our office door is always open, so make sure you pop in and say hello. If we aren’t in office we won’t be far away! So don’t be afraid to say hi if you see me around, at an event or on a night out...then wait til the Grease Medley is on....Zak and I will be centre of the dance floor!
Welcome to the Marjon family...it’s going to be an epic year!
