► May Ball Information
This years May Ball is masquerade and like every year it's always massively popular and a sell-out for the past few years, the Ball is your final night to remember the academic year.. The May Ball is held at Marjon and is a classy dressed event , Black Tie. The start of the evening's entertainment begins on the quad in a fantastic decorated marquee. In order to transform Marjon into a luxury area, we hire in various bars, decorations and staging for the live musical entertainment. Last year we introduced an outdoor garden area which was a great success and this year to build on that, we have increased the marquee size to ensure a sheltered area with a bar which can serve both the marquee and beer garden. In total the entire event is costing close to £30,000 to stage.
This year for the first time ever we have introduced TWO TYPES OF BALL TICKET.

- The £34 Premier Ticket guarantees you a full Carvery Roast sit down meal. You also get a free drink of any choice at the Marquee Bars.
- The £28 Non Dining Ticket does not include food or drink at the bar. However, there will be many different eating outlets from Chinese to roast beef/pork rolls serving through out the night on the Quad. There will of course still be a complementary glass of wine available within the Marquee.

Artful Dodger
Originally comprising of producers Mark Hill & Pete Devereux, the name Artful Dodger is already established as the most commercially successful UK Garage act to have emerged from the scene to date. Mark produced a slew of chart topping hits including 'Re-Rewind' and 'Woman Trouble' and floor filling remixes that confirmed Artful Dodger's place as a premier production act. |
The Vibes
The Vibes are a Plymouth based Indie band, providing quality covers of classic tracks by Oasis, Razorlight, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and many more. The band have been gigging for almost 2 years, taking in every top music venue and building a solid fan base and growing reputation along the way. The band are, Andy Brown (lead vox), Phil Brown (Rhythm Guitar, backing vox), Phil Burgoyne (Lead Guitar, mimed backing vox), Martin Cocks (Bass) and Paul Channing on drums. |
